The stars were out for the 15th Annual Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival, Canada’s premier wine and culinary fundraiser for medical research and innovation. This event always draws the who’s who of the GTA and this year included international stars such as Young & the Restless leading man Eric Braeden, and NBA-star turned vintner, Dwayne Wade for Wade Cellars.
This years’ festival included wines from over 75 vintners from around the world, gourmet dinners prepared by more than 25 world-class chefs and participation from more than 30 UHN clinicians and scientists who are conducting groundbreaking research and medical innovations.
Grand Cru achieved record-breaking fundraising this year, due in part to a number of incredible auction items from donors and sponsors including: an extraordinary lot of the famed 2010 Brunello di Montalcino vintage – one of only six in the world; a 2020 Bentley Continental 
GT V8 Convertible; and a dream kitchen from Miele Canada & Snaidero USA. Proceeds raised at Grand Cru directly support scientific research and fund key program areas at Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital. Grand Cru has raised over $30 million to date.
