Music in My Viens

On September 4th, 2019, Pixie Blue Studio hosted its annual celebration of music. The show, Music in My Veins, included a mix of original art and photography by local creatives: Pj Bell, Sam Kanga, Ann Ivy Male, Celina Melo, Helena Pyatkovsky, Stephen Uhraney and emerging artist, Ladislav Takac.

Port Credit already has a vibrant music scene but every year in September, The Southside Shuffle Jazz and Blues Festival comes to town. The studio was honoured to have a visit by its founder, Chuck Jackson, who stopped by on Opening Night. The evening was well attended and a sampling of delicious vegan treats and juices was provided by RicherEarth Vegan Eats, where owner Eartha Lowe says “good nutrition plays a crucial roll for healthy living.” (www.richerearthveganeats.com)

Pixie Blue Studio then took the show to the streets the following Saturday, and set up their Music inspired Pop-Up Art Exhibit during the Southside Street Shuffle.
