The Burlington Legion was hopping on St. Paddy’s Day with their annual festivities. Guests were dressed to the nines with green flashing hats, ties, necklaces and so on. After a Maggie and Jigs dinner of corned beef and cabbage, they enjoyed an auction, a comedian, Irish dancers, and the music of the “Celtic Connection.” This band plays Celtic music for local community groups and provides sing-along lyric books to promote audience interaction. Mike Wallace was the emcee for the evening. He, wife Caroline, and many other volunteers extended warm hospitality to all visitors. The annual St. Patrick’s celebration is a fund raiser for the legion to aid in their support of minor sports, military veterans and various local charities. A great get together for lots of Irish fun!
