Burlington was proud of the turnout on December 7th for the largest charitable Santa run in Canada, 2500 strong. This annual fundraiser for the Christmas toy drive and Food Share was lively entertainment for the whole family including puppy Santas on leashes and baby Santas pushed in carts by Santa parents.
Participating runners were greeted at the finish line on Brant Street to the live music of Obi, a noteworthy local band. Some of the not-so-athletic Santas strolled in later at their own pace. This is a jolly race (or stroll) in which to take part and brings people together in the spirit of the season.
