Canada Day in Port Credit was doubly subdued this year. Because of the pandemic, the traditional Paint the Town Red events that usually bring in thousands of visitors was cancelled for the second year in a row. In addition, flags were at half mast while our nation reflected on the mis-treatment of its indigenous population.
Despite the somber mood, many still donned the red and white in gratitude of what Canada has meat to them while hoping for reconciliation going forward toward a brighter future for every Canadian.
