Cruising for a Cause at RBG

On July 9th, for the 4th year in a row, Team Bullock Remax Real Estate hosted the annual Cruising for a Cause in the Royal Botanical Gardens parking lot. They sold items including 50/50 tickets and encouraged donations to raise funds for the Green Angels. The Green Angels’ RBG program; Growing Up Green, provides children with the gift of nature by enabling free education, admission and transportation to youngsters who may not otherwise be able to enjoy RBG field trips.

There was a great nostalgic line-up to be admired. The French’s Volkswagen Beetles from the 70s were displayed with A&W trays latched on to the windows, holding fries and root beer. There was a ‘black cherry’ 69 Camaro with a gorgeous underlying red, reflecting in the sunlight. David Craig displayed an 85 Thunderbird equipped with a vintage Motorola phone. He had sold the car back in the eighties, only to repurchase it 21 years later. The display of all these beauties made for a very enjoyable evening of ‘Cruising’.
