For Epilepsy Awareness Month in March, a fundraising event was held on Sunday, February 27th hosted by John Pappas at the Crooked Cue to create awareness about epilepsy and to educate the public. Back In 2012, the Canadian Government passed the Purple Day Act declaring March 26th “Purple Day” to recognize all who have been diagnosed with epilepsy along with their supportive families. People from neighbouring communities came to Port Credit for an afternoon of challenging their skills with a pool cue and raising funds for Epilepsy South Central Ontario, located in Port Credit at 250-A Lakeshore Road East.
