The start horn will sound at 8:45 a.m. and the course will remain open until 3:15 p.m.
The course time limit for the marathon will be 6 hours, which will begin after the last wave of participants crosses the start line at 9:15 a.m.
You will be required to maintain an average pace of 8 ½ minutes per kilometer.
Participants who are unable to reach the 30K mark at Lakeshore Blvd and Coxwell Ave by 1:30 p.m. will be short-turned and will not have the opportunity to complete the marathon distance.
Participants who are unable to reach the 39K mark at Eastern Ave and Broadview Ave by 2:45 p.m. will be moved off the course. The roads will be reopened at this time and if you choose to continue on the sidewalk, you will be doing so as a pedestrian without any further race support.
Marathon participants must be 18 years old on race day.
For the safety of all participants, baby carriers, skateboards, roller blades, Kangoo Jump shoes, animals and unauthorized bicycles & wheeled devices are not permitted in the race. Baby strollers are allowed in the 5k event only.
Nordic poles are permitted in all events.
