Every month the Grimsby Historical Society hosts a Guest Speaker at Grimsby Town Hall Chambers. Mark McNeil, an award-winning Hamilton Spectator Journalist, Storyteller, and Singer-Songwriter was the first Guest Speaker of 2020 on January 15th. Mark took the audience on a tour of the colourful, quirky history of the “biggest small town on the planet” through words, songs and photos. As an added bonus, Mark did a short presentation about the history of The Spectator, the oldest operating business in the city.
Natasha Henry – President of the Ontario Black History Society will be the guest speaker on February 19.
