Mississauga’s Citizen of the Year award is none other than John Bozzo, owner of La Villa Bakery and Cafe in Port Credit. John recently received the Gordon S. Shipp Memorial Award which is presented each year as part of the Mississauga Civic Awards of Recognition.
In 2003, John founded the Paint the Town Red Canada Day celebration which has become a massive draw to the Port Credit community. Over that time the event has collected tons of food and donations for the Mississauga Food Bank. John has also been a longtime supporter of the food bank, breakfast programs at schools, the ’Twas the Bite before Christmas fundraiser and many more non-profit endeavours.
Congratulations John, you deserve it!
