Lasalle Park Marina in Burlington

Burlington boaters, vital in keeping the spirit of our waterfront alive, look forward to Spring when the Lasalle Park Marina, slips in place, is ready for boat launching and boating action once again. The marina is depending on a new portable wave break this year, which Burlington council has voted in favour of supporting, but this motion awaits final approval in June.
The present breakwater is aging, and totally inadequate to suppress severe waves. As a result of this, boats, equipment and infrastructure have already been damaged. Without the new anticipated breakwater, Burlington would be in danger of losing its beloved marina. Nevertheless, plenty of hikers tackled the waterfront trails at Lasalle Park Marina, some walking their puppies, and some just enjoying the spring-like weather and communing with nature.
