Mississauga Music Walk of Fame

The Mississauga Music Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony took place on September 12th in Memorial Park in Port Credit to honour two Internationally renowned Canadians with their roots in Mississauga.

Radio and Television Broadcaster George “Strombo” Stroumboulopoulos and Recording Engineer/Producer Noel Cadastre now join the many Mississauga musicians and industry leaders who have made significant contributions to the world of music. The Awards were presented by Ward 1 Councillor Stephen Dasko and Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie. The legendary Hazel McCallion was in attendance and provided some concluding remarks when the stars were unveiled.

The MMWF has been a part of the Tim Horton’s Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival since its induction in 2012 by founder the late Councillor Jim Tovey.  To learn more about the MMWF visit their website www.musicwalkoffame.ca
