On Saturday, May 29th Heart House Hospice along with the Gupta Family released 100 butterflies at Credit Valley Hospital. Each butterfly signified three lives that have been lost across Trillium Health Partners sites due to COVID-19.
The second Annual Butterfly Release was sold out. Emcee, Karen Priest, Heart House Chair of the Board, welcomed the small group and Trillium Health Partner Chaplain, Andrew Petaroudas said a prayer in memory of loved ones lost to the pandemic. Dr. Asha Gupta, her sister Abha and her mother Meera Gupta released the butterflies. More than 300 butterflies commemorating the loss of loved ones were released privately by supporters of Heart House Hospice.
