The inaugural St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser was held at Stonehooker Brewing Company in benefit of Peel Crime Stoppers..
Peel Regional Police Deputy-Chief, Marc Andrew and Peel Regional Paramedic Services Deputy-Chief, Brian Gibson delivered remarks. Local elected officials including Mississauga-Lakeshore MPP, Rudy Cuzzetto and City of Mississauga Ward 1 Councillor, Stephen Dasko were in attendance. The Mississauga Board of Trade President & CEO, Trevor McPherson and Tourism Mississauga Board Member, Louie Manzo helped raise awareness for the program. Famous television personality and “gastropreneur” Chef – Massimo Capra also joined the celebration. All 120 tickets were sold out within three days. The capacity crowd was treated to authentic Celtic Musical and Dance performances by East of Here along with traditional Irish cuisine and contributed towards the more than $10,000 raised.
