Taking a Stand for Wildlife

For the second year at Burlington’s Beachway Park, kids and their families hit the ground running in support of wildlife and nature as part of WWF-Canada’s Kids’ Run for Nature. The one, three and five-kilometre fun run and fundraiser encourages young people to get active in local green spaces. It was founded in 2015 by Jasmine de Pencier and Jett Jardeleza-Toole, then aged 10, who were determined to protect Canada’s nature and wildlife and has since grown to include 27 runs across Canada, including communities in Newfoundland and Labrador all the way to Vancouver Island. This year’s runs aim to raise nearly $100,000 for WWF-Canada’s conservation efforts. Learn more by visiting kidsrunfornature.ca.
