The Purse Project Niagara

Fill a purse with LOVE & a Woman’s Heart with HOPE.

In October 2016, Sarah Boville and Mandi Neiser saw an opportunity to give back by helping women and children in their community. They were inspired by Angel Freedman, who created an initiative called “Fill a Purse for a Sister.” Purses were filled with items a woman turning to a shelter or transitional housing would need.  Sarah and Mandi knew there was a need in the Niagara area, thus creating Purse Project Niagara.

Here is their success story:

It was a chilly morning outside on November 3, 2019, however, our hearts were filled with warmth and joy as we delivered over 200 purses to three organizations in the West Niagara area. GBF Community ServicesGillian’s Place West Niagara and Community Care of West Niagara. Each purse was filled with personal hygiene products, treats and motivational messages. The beautiful purses will be given as gifts to celebrate special occasions and/or to help brighten someone’s day.

Thank you to all the amazing people in our community, friends and family who donated to the Purse Project Niagara for another successful year!Special thanks to all the people who donated all the designer purses for the Purse Project Raffle at The 4th Annual Lip Sync Battle Niagara which occurred  Nov. 10th at the Greg FrewinTheatre.  Who doesn’t love an adorable Besty Johnson Designer bag, Kate Spade, Coach or Tory Burch purse?
