The 3rd annual Twas The Bite – Streetsville Christmas Breakfast (DRIVE-THRU) edition was held in the parking lot at Drake, A Firkin Pub in benefit of the local Mississauga food centre, Eden Food For Change.
The contactless fundraising breakfast was held on Saturday, December 12, 2020, 8am -11am. This outdoor program was organized in compliance with COVID-19 physical distancing and safety protocols.
The Streetsville Christmas Breakfast is an annual tradition presented by TSOC in collaboration with Twas the Bite Before Christmas. This initiative brings together community stakeholders including first responders, businesses, local artists, media, volunteers and the public in the spirit of giving. This event continues to be organized at a ($0) cost as a result of generous in-kind donations ensuring (100%) of the funds benefit the charity. Over 650 breakfast meals were served to more than 200 vehicles.

Free basketballs, compliments of NBA superfan Nav Bhatia, and Home Hardware-Streetsville Christmas wreaths added to the festive spirit. The arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus was heralded by the Mississauga Town Crier, accompanied by his wife. Musical accompaniment was provided by River North, ToneFusion Trio and Michael Bones.

Early in the morning, honorary guests included legendary Mayor Hazel McCallion and Toronto Maple Leafs icon Paul Henderson. Other guests included celebrity chef-Massimo Capra, and Mississauga Mayor-Bonnie Crombie. Chief organizer Imran Hasan (also most seasonally dressed) announced that the compassionate community made a remarkable combined donation totaling more than $33,000 for Eden Food for Change.
