Waterdown’s Christmas season begins with the annual lighting of the trees in Memorial Park. Of course with this year being different and safety a priority, the November 28th gathering in the park was canceled. Even the Santa Claus parade, a hugely anticipated evening tradition, had to be canceled. The Parade Team and the BIA could not let the village miss out on these events so they hosted them virtually on the BIA Facebook page. They were live-streamed so everyone could snuggle up and watch last year’s parade and the current lighting of the trees in the safety and comfort of their own homes.
These multicoloured, glittering evergreens will continue to dazzle and provide much joy to all passing by Memorial Park throughout the Yuletide Season.
